There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. JG-5 searched the sea off Fischerhalbinsel for 13 hours, and found no trace of Braun. They later assumed the crash had been ashore. One known victory, a Soviet Pe-2 on 11 July, 1942.

Remaining crew (all MIA): Oblt August Beuter, Observer; Fw Herbert Hirsch, R/O and Uffz Heinz Höhner, Gunner. Source: SIG Norway. Added: While on a transfer flight from Kemi to Bardufoss, it accidentally crashed into a mountain top at Beahcegealhaldi Norway, 70 km ENE of Skibotn, killing the entire crew. The crews remains were brought down from the mountain in 1979, however, no mention of their final resting place (Flyvrak Norway & Observer Loss List).

Destroyer Operational Clasp		One known victory, a Spitfire on 29 May, 1940, no location. A 2nd, a Spitfire on 13 August, 1940, no location. The name "Erhard" appears in the OKL Claims List. In 2014, the following was reported by Bjorn Rose & Peter Cornwell: A Bf 110C-4 of 5/ZG-76, piloted by an Oblt Gerhard Bremer, crashed and exploded on 15 August, 1940 alongside the Farley Rd. at Slackstead. Both the pilot and Radio Operator, Uffz Leo Pauli believed perished in the crash, and were buried initialy in the Hursley Churchyard on 20 August as "Unknown German Airman", and later interned together at Cannock Chase, Block 9, Row 4, Grave 19. Positive identity of the crew was not possible due to the severity of the crash. They may have been shot down by F/L R.A.Barton & P/O J.R.B.Meaker of No 249 Sq, and also claimed by F/L J.H.G. McArthur of No 609 Sq.. I suggest the reader use caution, but I do believe that this Gerhard is Erhard.

Nos 3 & 4, both Morane 406s SW of Saargemünd on 31 October, 1939 in Bf 109D "Yellow 10". His 5th, a Wellingtom in the Saargemund area, 31 March, 1940. His 9th, a Bloch 151 E of Compiegne on 7 June, 1940. His 10th, a Spitfire S of Swanage on 8 August, 1940. His 15th, a Spitfire at Hawkinge on 5 September, 1940. On 20 October, 1940, he was required to force land his Wk# 4112 after downing his 20th, an RAF Hurricane, but the Hurricane cause his damage in the engagement. He crashed at St Inglevert, France. His 25th & 26th, both Hurricanes at Ashford on 30 November, 1940. His 30th, a Lysander N of Deal on 4 May, 1941. On 22 June, 1941, after shooting down a Russian SB-2 bomber in his Wk# 6674, he had to force land as a result of return fire striking his engine, and was seriously wounded. After being hidden by friendly locals, he was hospitalized too late, and he died 27 June 1941, from complications after losing a leg on the Eastern Front. 244 missions.

Added: Prior to his service in JG-300, he was known to fly transport to Stalingrad with the Ju 34 (C.König). His 1st victory, at night against RAF bombers, came on 6 September, 1943. 14 of his victories were RAF bombers at night, including a double victory on 24 March, 1944; both "4 mots" N of Krefeld. A P-51 in the Füssen area on 18 July, 1944. A P-38 S of Munich on 19 July, 1944. A B-24 at Szekesfehervar on 27 July, 1944. A B-24 (HSS) near Budweis/Böhmen (Bohemia) on 24 August, 1944. A P-51 SE of Göttingen on 27 September, 1944. A B-17 at Hildesheim on 28 September, 1944. 17 of his victories were U.S. bombers during the day, 3 of which he downed on 7 October, 1944. He was forced to bail (safely) on this date after ramming the 3rd B-17. Magnus Report, 34 victories. Bowers/Lednicer, 40 victories.

Major Peter Paul Breu (1915-2001) from Schwabhausen / Thuringia from Kampfgeschwader 3 "Lützow" Peter Paul Breu was born on June 13, 1915 in Schwabhausen near Gotha. Already in 1939 he flew in Poland, over France and England as captain of the 6th Squadron of the combat squadron 3 "Lützow". During the Eastern campaign he took command of the II/KG-3. As such, he destroyed 34 transport trains, bombed recognized enemy positions and recognized an enemy tank breakthrough during a reconnaissance flight in the Kirov area. Breu went on the attack and destroyed no less than 26 tanks. On 02.10.1942 Breu received the Knight's Cross for the three aircraft, which were still shot down by his crew. After the war, Breu established a successful petroleum wholesale business. Peter Paul Breu died on 02.08.2001 in Weingarten near Biberach.

He bailed safely at Duclair Fr., near Rouen, but his wounds (ankle) kept him out of action for six weeks (JG-6 List). On his 6th fighter mission, he crashed into a Belgian field in a borrowed 190 "Black 5", after the engine siezed.
