A Jager Blatt inquiry of 2/1998 implies that the crew was lost the day of this victory. A Jager Blatt response on 2/2001, Bisang reported that one engine had failed and that one of the crew was wounded. The British reported that the Ju 88 was being pursued by a Havoc, however, the Ju 88 fell before the Havoc began to shoot. The crew were all buried at Ipswich.
