There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

His R/O-Gnr, Uffz Nordmeier, was injured and taken POW (Bf 110 Loss List). One known victory, a Morane at Le Cateau, 16 May, 1940. His 2nd & 3rd, both Moranes on 17 May, 1940, no location. His 4th, a Spitfire west of Dunkirk, 29 May, 1940. Added: His R/O-Gnr, Uffz Heinrich Nordmeier (Nordmeyer or Nordmeir), suffered a broken back. Their 110 was sd by Hurricanes of Nos 303 and 56 Sqs, piloted by F/O Ludwik W.Paszkiewicz and P/O Bryan J.Wicks respectively (D.Drury).

Fw 190A-6 Werk # 530138 "Black 8" (lost)	EK 1 & 2 Wound Badge Fighter Operational Clasp	Shot down with wounds 13 September, 1944 in aerial combat with a LaGG 5, 30 km northwest of Walk Pl. Qu. His first known victory, a Soviet La-5 on 3 April, 1944. A 2nd, a Yak-9 on 22 August, 1944. A 3rd, an "unnamed" Soviet a/c on 23 August, 1944. A 4th, a Yak-9 on 25 August, 1944. This may very well be the Uffz Asche who surrendered with Wettstein in Denmark, making the treacherous flight from Libau, across the Baltic, with two rear passengers.

24	Auernig, Roman Dr.	Maj	7/20/1905	Austria		Stfkpt 1/KG-28	He 111H-4 Werk # 3293 "1T + AH" (lost)	Bomber Operational Clasp	MIA the night of 4 March, 1941 when, as acting as Observer for pilot, Uffz Alfred Dries (born 5/22/1917, KIA), they were shot down during mine-laying operations in the Severn Estuary. Shot down by Barry AA guns, he crashed into the sea, one half mile off Nells Point, Barry. Remaining crew (all KIA): Uffz Alfred Dries, Uffz Hans Hartisch, R/O (MIA) and Gefr Heinrich Felton, Flt Engr (KIA). The two deceased are buried At CC/7/8; Uffz Dries, Gr 203 and Gefr Felton, Gr 201. Remaining crew (all KIA, desig unk): Fw Wilhelm Tessin, Ofw Kurt Braunger and Uffz Josef Baum (D.Drury).
26	Baasch, Heinrich J.	Fw				3/Kü.Fl.Gr. 806 (Holtenau 4/40), 1/Kü.Fl.Gr. 806 (Channel 9/40)	He 111J-1 "M7 + CH" (lost 4/3/40), Ju 88 Werk # 3079 "M7 + CH" (lost 9/21/40)	Observer Operational Clasp	Interned 3 April, 1940 by the Danish authorities after his AC experienced engine problems which resulted in a fire. The AC was ditched at sea, 2 miles south of the "Hatter rev" between the islands of Samso and Sejro. The crew were unharmed and entered the aircrafts dinghy. Several Danish craft offered assistance, but was refused. Many hours later, their dinghy drifted ashore at Lilleballe, on the eastside of the Island Samso. The crew were held in the Flinchs Hotel until the German occupation on 9 April, 1940. Remaining crew: Oblt z.S. Adam Werner Beck (MIA 5/2/41 w/Fw Heinrich Baasch crew), Fw Georg F. Juchelko and an unnamed Uffz. Source: Air War over Denmark. Their formation, in Schönwalde near Berlin, was apparently ordered as early as June 1943, probably on the 15th. The first squadron commander, Walter Meltzer (Knights Cross) from III./TG 1, had been appointed, but together with the group commander the l./Erg.TG., Major Kurt Wendorff, in a test flight with the Ar 232 A-03, VD + YC, he was fatally injured in Schönwalde along with Oblt. Helmut Jardon, Offz.z.b.V., Ofw. Albert Klenk, Bordmechaniker, and Uffz. Heinrich Gräf, Bordfunker, all of the 7./Erg.TG. Meltzer's successor was Major Josef Belz. While he and a few other members of the squadron, including Ofw. Max Limbrecht, had already been instructed in the new pattern at the factory, it was not until December 1943 that the A-02 aircraft in Schönwalde could be deployed. That same month, the squadron was relocated to Eger. There it received three more machines in January (A-06, A-09 and B-06) and another two in February 1944. The last two should have been at least one more B, most likely the B-05.

In France campaign his crew shot down two Morane 406 fighters and took part in low-level strikes. On an early mission over England, 1940-07-11 his Dornier 17 was shot up by Hurricanes near Harwich. Bornschein, radio operator Ofw. Werner Borner and flight engineer Fw. Friedrich Lohrer were all wounded. The bomber’s pilot, Joachim Genzow, who later won the Knight’s Cross, escaped injury. After recovering from his wounds, Bornschein was sent to Flight Training School A/B 3 at Guben, where he trained as a pilot. Promoted to Oberleutnant in November 1940. Late 1941 he returned to 4./KG 2 on Dornier 217 E. Bornschein attacked industrial targets, port facilities and shipping, sinking two merchant ships totaling 9,000 tons. Led 4./KG 2 as Staffelkapitän from June 1942 to February1943. Promoted to Hauptmann. In early 1943 Bornschein assigned to Flight Training School A/B 3 as a company commander. May 1943 he was transferred to the Führer-Kurierstaffel as Staffelkapitän. In April 1944 the unit was based in southern Germany, as nighfighters. On the night of 26-27 April 1944 Bornschein intercepted British bombers attacking Schweinfurt. he shot down a Lancaster III of 106 Sq., ND853 "ZN-J", 15km WSW of Schweinfurt, but was then shot down himself. Bornschein was killed, along with his radio operator Stbfw. Wilhelm Steurer (who had been a member of Bornschein’s crew in KG 2) and flight engineer Fw. Josef Schmitz, hit by return fire from the Lancaster. He shot down at least 3 enemy aircraft.	Courtesy Christian König
