One known victory, his 1st, a Hurricane west of Brighton on 30 November, 1942. On 17 August, 1943, Kraft shot down a B-17 42-30274 over Mol, of the 95th BG, 335BS. Piloted by Lt Col. Henry P. Sarnow, the B-17 was named "Our Bay-Be", and Krafts 109 was also shot down at Vierslag, with wounds, by the Bay-Bes right waist gunner, Wm. Binnebose. Ironically, the two shared a hospital room at Beverloo Belgium Kriegsmarine Hospital. On this date, Kraft served as wingman for Erich Burkert, who was officially credited with the victory. Postwar, he established the Nellspark Hotel in Trier Germany. Deceased 9 November, 2001. | |||

First he was classified as MIA and on 28/06/44 as KIA . According to WaST in Berlin Radant was KIA after take-off near Gießen an der Lahn. Radant transferred from Kavallerieregiment 6 and Aufklärungsabteilung 33 to the Luftwaffe at the beginning of 1940. After flight school he serves as a flying instructor due to his good flying skills. In October 1943 Fw Radant volunteers to go to the front since he wanted to be an officers but needed front experience for it. His first aerial victory in the 1mot Nachtjagd was a Halifax near Stettin in the night of 05-06/01/44. His 2nd victory was near Schweinfurt in the night of 23-24/03/44 where he heavily damaged another bomber. His 3rd and last victory was a bomber near Frankfurt in the night of 30-31/03/44. His last mission on 24-25/04/44 was meant to be his penultimate mission before being sent to officer school while he wanted to marry in the midth of May 1944. His fiancee Annelies Maxara didnt get engaged or marry again until her death with 73 years in Munich in 1998. The remains of Radant were transferred to the war cemetery Kloster Arnsburg in October 2007. (CKönig). |

Then drafted into the Signal Coprs before entering Luft training. Flew his first combat mission in 1944. During the Battle of the Bulge, 24 December, 1944, he made a force landing in another A-8 on the Autobahn south of Bonn. Forced to bail from his A-8 in August, 1944 when he lost oil pressure and his engine failed, suffering internal injuries. He was hospitalized for several months, during which time, his parents received his death notice! He was wingman for Wilhelm Moritz and Oskar Romm. Witnessed Oskar Romms fiery crash on 24 April, 1945. He also flew a few missions as wingman for Gunther Schack, Kdr of IV/JG-3 at the time, and Werner Schröer, also Kdr IV/JG-3 in February, 1945. His "Swartz Mann" (Mechanic), Ofw Hans Langenkamp. Ended the war by riding to Westerland in northern Germany, avoiding POW Camp. A Mechanical Engineer in Germany, he emigrated to America in 1954, retiring in 1986. A comrade of Emil Daniel, now living in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Changed the spelling to the "Americanized" Puett in the U.S.. One known victory, a B-24 over Austria on 22 August, 1944. His 2nd, a P-39 on 16 March, 1945. His 3rd, a Boston on 18 April, 1945.
