There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Remaining Strobel crew: Uffz Walter Fock; Ogefr Georg Arnold and Uffz Ewald Oetken. 447 combat missions, 313on eastern front, and 68 last over four hours, thus counted as doubles, total 515 missions. He was the first Flt Engr to receive the RK (C.König).

Survived the war testing Me 262s and Ar 234s for his good friend Kurt Tank. Killed in 1952 in a Pulqui jet fighter in front of Juan Peron in Argentina.

Ar 232 A-101

The first and only unit fully equipped with Ar 232 was the 7./Erg.TG. (Supplementary transport squadron). Their formation, in Schönwalde near Berlin, was apparently ordered as early as June 1943, probably on the 15th. The first squadron commander, Walter Meltzer (Knights Cross) from III./TG 1, had been appointed, but together with the group commander the l./Erg.TG., Major Kurt Wendorff, in a test flight with the Ar 232 A-03, VD + YC, he was fatally injured in Schönwalde along with Oblt. Helmut Jardon, Offz.z.b.V., Ofw. Albert Klenk, Bordmechaniker, and Uffz. Heinrich Gräf, Bordfunker, all of the 7./Erg.TG. Meltzer's successor was Major Josef Belz. While he and a few other members of the squadron, including Ofw. Max Limbrecht, had already been instructed in the new pattern at the factory, it was not until December 1943 that the A-02 aircraft in Schönwalde could be deployed. That same month, the squadron was relocated to Eger. There it received three more machines in January (A-06, A-09 and B-06) and another two in February 1944. The last two should have been at least one more B, most likely the B-05.

Bomber Operational Clasp		WIA (KilledInAction (KIA)?) 27 July, 1942 during aerial combat with fighters. His Werk # 7481 made an emergency landingin the area of Pl.Qu.3917. Remaining crew (recovered from behind lines): Uffz Arno Werner (Co-Pilot); Ogefr Bernhard Brodatzki, R/O; and Uffz Walter Scholz, Flt Engr. The pilot believed responsible for their rescue may have been Lt Werner Utter. Earlier, on 14 June, 1942, Lt Bergmann was involved in a crash landing following AA fire at Luga, S of Lenningrad. Remaining crew: Stfkpt Hptm Karl Otto Hesse, Obs; Ogefr Bernhard Brodatzki, R/O; and Uffz Walter Scholz, Flt Engr. Three of the four known to survive the crash (D.Drury & DK-G Awards List). Oblt Bergmann declared deceased 21 May, 1970.

Remaining crew (KIC): Uffz Helmut Meyer, geb 27/10/21, Co-pilot; Lt Karl Markert, geb 03/03/10, R/O; Uffz Erich Pfeifer, geb 21/02/22, R/O; Uffz Fredo Max Sander, geb 06/08/20, R/O and Uffz Heinz Neubauer, geb 01/10/22, Mech. Source: B.Bines. Added: Flyvrak Norway reports their wingtip struck the ground during a low level pass, causing the crash. probably Bomber Operational Clasp in Gold		KIFA 15 February, 1943; crashed near Slawjansk, in the Donez River area, Russia, no further detail. Crash landed his Wk# 885502 on 23 August, 1942, after being hit by flak in Map Quadrant 3135. Two of his crew were injured. Oblt Werner Poppenburg landed behind enemy line and picked up Bibra and crew. Added: Remaining crew (injured 8/23/42): Ogefr Günther Heyde, Obs & Ogefr Walter Repinski, R/O. Remaining crew (KilledInAction (KIA) 2/15/43): Lt Karl Mayrhofer, Obs; Fw Robert Meyer, R/O and Uffz Phillip Alleborn, Gnr (Luft & Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum).
