He was awarded the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on April 26, 1945 as Hauptmann in Nahaufklärungsgruppe 5 (led by Major Hermann Schmidt) for the extraordinary effort he displayed at Cirava (Kurland), although I did not get information about what his business was like. One type of aircraft he had piloted was Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 / U3. Baader was promoted to Oberfeldwebel on January 25, 1943, Leutnant on April 16, 1944, and Hauptmann on April 26, 1945 (together with his gift of the Ritterkreuz).
