There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Two of the deceased are buried in Germany, Blk C of the War cem. at Norderney, En.-Luth Friedhof: Lt Adler Gr 44 and Ehrenstein Gr 25. Norderney is one of the East Frisian Islands off the North Sea coast of Germany, suggesting this may be where their bodies washed ashore. Fw Theinert listed by the VDK as "in a sea grave", and commemorated on the Kiel-Laboe Naval Memorial (D.DRury).

POW 1 January, 1945 (Operation Bodenplatte). Brought down in his "Black 6" by AA fire at Lewedorp, west of Goes (Vrooneweg) (DeSwart), near Beveland, Holland. Captured immediately by Canadian troops, suffering light burns. His first known Soviet victory, an Il-2 N of Tennyuk on 16 March, 1943. A 2nd, a LaGG-3 on 21 April, 1943. A Pe-2 on 13 May, 1943. A 4th, an Il-2 on 31 May, 1943. WIFA in his "Brown 12" when his forehead hit his gunsight during a force landing S of Borken on 2 October, 1944 due to engine failure. Added: Werk # 175140 was found abandoned at Melsbroek airfield 4 September, 1944 (C.Sundin).

WIA 23 December, 1944 during aerial combat at Lellingen. He was reported to have died from his wounds (JG-4 List). His G-14 crashed near Arnhem Holland on 24 September, 1944, cause unknown (DeSwart). He was injured in the crash (JG-4 List). Initially in a Luft flak unit, he became a pilot near wars end when fuel and aircraft were in short supply. He was a paratrooper at wars end. He was an English POW, released in January, 1946. Jager Blatt 2/2004. He is named Ernst in the JG-4 List & Lost Aircraft Report. Added: Alternate spelling: Ammann (SGLO).

Skelton, on patrol in support of the bomber command attack on the German city of Essen) near Dorsten by Allied Night Fighters opposing the RAF night raid on Essen the night of 12 December, 1944. Remaining Crew: Gefr Klaas Visser (Dutch), Gunner (KilledInAction (KIA) on his birthday, 24/12/21 in Amsterdam); Uffz Walter Trenck, R/O; Hptm Erich Zenker, WIA also a pilot, acting as gunner. Visser is buried in the local cemetery at Marl-Brassert. Apel and Trenck survived, but were later KilledInAction (KIA) on 21 February, 1945 during aerial combat SE of Störmede, by an RCAF fighter piloted by F/L D.A. McFayden of No. 406 Sq. (RCAF Claims List).

The crew were on an anti-shipping operation with five other He 111's. Before being captured, they were able to set the ac onfire. They remained POW's until the German occupation, 9 April, 1940. Beckman was uninjured in a crash on 10 September, 1941 at Ossijaki due to technical trouble (Prien). One known victory, perhaps his first, an unnamed Soviet AC on 8 September, 1941 on a Free Hunt with Jurgen Harder (Prien). A P-40 on 14 December, 1941. His 7th victory was a Spitfire over Malta on 30 April, 1942. His 8th victory, a Beaufighter 10 km north northeast of Ras-el-Tir N. Africa on 15 June, 1942. His last victory, he claimed a Spitfire, but was probably a Hurricane or P-40, over Mersa Matruh on 26 June, 1942, just before being wounded later that day.

A 3rd, (called #4 per OKL), a Spitfire at Redhill on 6 September, 1940. Walter Adolph replaced Bode as Kdr II/JG-26 on 13 November, 1940. Left JG-26 in October, 1940, replaced by Hptm Walter Adolph from III/JG-27.

Bodendiek bailed with serious wounds. Claimed two "damaged" Morane 406s 14 May, 1940, no location. His first known victory, a Blenheim in the Portland area on 11 August, 1940. Survived the war. Alternate spelling: Bodendick.

Pilkington, DFM (KilledInAction (KIA) 9/20/41, then F/Lt). With only a starboard engine, Böhle made an emergency landing 1km SW of Drum Ddu, Wales, near Mallwyd Machynlleth, Montgomeryshire.
