There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. KilledInAction (KIA) 20 December, 1943 near Wardenburg in Oldenburg after downing a P-38. He had to bale out of his G-6 and his chute failed to open, as witnessed by Flg Viktor Widmaier. Added: His remains have not been transferred to a military cemetery, but a grave is understood to exist at Swinoujscie, Poland. He is commemorated in the German War Cem. at Stare Czarnowo, Poland (D.Drury). Barbarossa pilot with 68 victories as of late 1943, 60 in the East. His first known Soviet victory, an Su-2 on 16 February, 1942. Two Il-2s on 6 August, 1942. An I-16 Rata on 12 August, 1942. A Yak-1 on 15 August, 1942. Two Yak-1s on 31 August, 1942. Two LaGG-3s on 1 November, 1942. An La-5 and a Boston III on 5 December, 1942. A Soviet B-25 on 30 May, 1943. Numerous multiple victories. Served with Grislawski (as wingman), Graf and Füllgrabe. Süß is known as the person responsible for 9/JG-52 being referred to as "Karaya". He brought a record player from home after a leave, but only found a Crimean Tartar recording with the words "Karaya", thus the nickname. Bowers/Lednicer, 70 victories. Name is also written as Süss.

He was surprised by P-51s of the American 55th FG, 38FS as he was taking off. Buried Waldshut-Tiengen Bergfriedhof, Grave Q-1 (Rosseels). 445 missions. 2 bombers. 16 victories in the West. One known victory, his 1st, a Hurricane over Brussels, 12 May, 1940. His 3rd, a Spitfire near Ashford on 5 September, 1940. His 4th, a Spitfire on 9 September, 1940, no location. His 5th, a Hurricane in the London area on 14 September, 1940. His first known Soviet victory, a SB-2 on 23 June, 1941. Four SB-2s on 26 June, 1941. Five I-18s on 17 September, 1941. A triple victory on 25 May, 1942; two P-40s and a Yak-1. On 11 June, 1942 Karls 109F-4 Werk# 13154 was destroyed in combat 15 km north of Nowgorod, S.U.. Also known to have flown F-2 Wk# 8228 "White 3" in 7/JG-54. Shot down with wounds 22 December, 1943 by B-17 return fire at Ems-Weser Canal in Bf 109G-6/U4 Werk # 440012 "Yellow 9". His 60th victory, a P-47 S of Meulan-les-Mureaux on 7 June, 1944. His 62nd, a P-51 at Maule, W of Paris on 21 June, 1944. Shot down at least 5 times. Eight victories in JG-26.

Plus 6 unconfirmed. 550 combat missions. While in III/JG-52 in Russia, he sank one gun boat and 50 Troop ferries. On 6 June, 1943, he was shot down behind Russian lines in Wk# 19257, but evaded and returned three days later. Added: On 15/08/43 he rammed a I-153 but managed to fly home (CKönig). On 1 October, 1943 in Wk# 15851, he lost his left arm and a toe from German AA fire, returning from an escort mission. He returned to active duty in July of 1944, with Stab III & II/JG-52, achieving another 4 victories with an artificial limb. All his victories were in the East. His first known Soviet victory, an I-153 on 15 August, 1942. An Su-2 on 17 September, 1942. A MiG-1 on 29 September, 1942. A LaGG-3 on 4 October, 1942. An I-16 on 11 February, 1943. An I-153 on 12 February, 1943. An I-153 on 13 February, 1943. An R-5 on 12 March, 1943. A Yak-1 on 19 March, 1943. An Il-5 on 18 April, 1943. A LaGG-3 on 20 April, 1943. A LaGG-5 on 21 April, 1943. Two Yak-1s on 23 April, 1943. Two R-5s on 25 April, 1943. Numerous Soviet multiple victories. Three Il-5s on 26 July, 1943. A Yak-1 and four Il-2s on 25 September, 1943. Over the Channel Isle Guernsey he managed to shoot down 2 Blenheim and later 2 more doubles on different days. Buried in Mont d'Huisnes. Another source mentioned that he was a pilot and Obsv.

This Wk# may be incorrect, as it is attributed to a Lt Heinz Sossner, 10/JG-54, KilledInAction (KIA) earlier in July 1944 W of Lublin. Added: Buried Yssel Y-11-254 SGLO). Bauer joined the Luftwaffe in 1941, served mostly as wingman for others, was sd twice and had four victories. Those last days in WWII he was sent to Olomouc to defend Moravian Ostrava. He and Heinz Sievers are said to be the last two Luftwaffe fighters of WWII (F.Braun).

Destroyer Operational Clasp in Silver		POW 1/1/45. He and his R/O Uffz Adolf Bauer crashed with injuries into the Channel off Felixstone on 11 August, 1940 and were rescued. They were in 1/ZG-26 at the time. Opposed the 6 March, 1944 Berlin Raid while serving as Kdr III/ZG-26. Although badly damaged by a P-51 of 357FG, piloted by F/O Tom Mc Kinney, he, and R/O Fw Kluepfel, made a single engine landing at Magdeburg. Shot down in his A-8 on 1 January, 1945 by AA fire on the way to his assigned target, Volkel airfield. He belly landed his AC four miles west of Severum, northwest of Venlo. Soon after, he was captured by Allied troops. 90+ missions. One known victory, a B-24 on 24 February, 1944, no location. Another, a B-17 at Magdeburg on 8 March, 1944. A 2nd B-17 10 km N of Bammicke on 11 April, 1944. Deceased 24 October, 1982.

Fighter Operational Clasp		KilledInAction (KIA) 9 October, 1942 by B-17 return fire in his A-4 at Chemin de Mesnine, in the Lille area. He was badly wounded and could not open his chute, and fell to his death. He was the wingman of Hptm Klaus Mietusch. One known victory, his 1st, a Spitfire on 29 June, 1942. He bailed safely and managed to return to his base at Krasnoye-Selo. A fighter pilot dispatched the LaGG-3, avoiding a worse fate for the Stuka pilot. Shot down repeatedly over the Kuban bridgehead. His EP was awarded on 8 December, 1941. Deceased 24 March, 1997 (Heinrich Breuer). Added: The mission on 24 April, 1942 was to attack shipping at Kronstadt, located on Kotlin Island in Kronstadt Bay, west of Leningrad. Whether sd by Skakh or flak, Maj Bauer was injured making a forced landing at Krasnoye-Selo, SSW of Lenningrad. He was out of action until 25 February, 1943 (D.Drury).

He was seen bailing successfully, but was reportedly shot in his chute. On 8 June, 1942, after aerial combat with a Spitfire of RAF No. 121 (Eagle Sq.) Sq., he bailed out with severe injuries near Arques airfield, which ultimately cost him his right leg above the knee. After 18 months, returned to active duty in 1944. On 15 June, 1944, he was shot down by B-24 return fire in his "White 6", and bailed successfully, landing in a French field 6 km W of Brou, in Euret-Loir. His one victory, a P-51 of 354FG at Rugles, NW of Le Perron, on 17 July, 1944. A prewar fighter pilot since 1934, joined JG-26 in 41 to be Gallands wingman.

SG-77 was jumped by 60-70 Mustangs and Bauer and several others were killed in the dogfight 1km northwest of Kukau near Kamenz. Six others were killed including the Stfkpt, Oblt August Lambert (RK). All were buried on the Hutberg near Kamenz. Channel pilot. About 650 missions.
