There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Schwemmer and crew crashed into the Baltic Sea, east of Sjaelland Denmark. Remaining crew (KilledInAction (KIA)): Uffz Willi Ritzer retrieved from the sea on 21 September, 1944, in the cemetery of Kamminke- Auf den Golm. Uffz Heinrich Schmid was found near Kalvehave on 23 September, 1944, and buried in the Kobenhavn Vestre Cemetery on 28 September, 1944. Pilot Schwemmer has no known grave (Source: Air War over Denmark). One known victory, a "4 mot" N of Stuttgart on 25 July, 1944.

at least Fighter Operational Clasp in Bronze		Uninjured in a emergency landing at Waalhaven on 24 January, 1943 due to a power loss; may have been a result of friendly fire from a German fleet vessel. He was Uffz Kirchners (WIC) wingman this date (Wings to Victory). One known victory, his 1st, a P-51 60 km north of Walcheren on 22 January, 1943. His 3rd, a B-17 northwest of Texel on 4 February, 1943. This is most likely Otto.

at least Fighter Operational Clasp in Bronze		His Fw 190 A-4 crashed into the North Sea on 27 October, 1942, cause and his disposition unknown, an Uffz at the time (DeSwart). One known victory, his 1st, a Beaufort 75 km west of Zandvoort on 20 November, 1942. Flugbuch (04/40 to 02/44 showing 1576 flights). Wounded by plexiglass fragments during aerial combat with a Spitfire on 10 March, 1943. A leg wound on 21 February, 1944, cost him a leg. Of his 7 victories, 5 were "4 mot" (B-17s). Also credited with a P-51. Known to fly Fw 190A Wk# 336 and a "Black 10". This may be Otto in the previous record (Magnus has Otto in both JG-1 and JG-11), however Otto in the previous has victories after the loss of a leg in February, 1944. This Ottos flugbuch is dated up to 2/44 when the leg wound occurred. I think these two are the same person with lengthy notes (Wk# 0618 appears in both entries!).

Soviet POW 9 August, 1943; sd by flak while making a low-level attack against railway targets in the Belgorod-Kursk area. Remaining crew: Uffz Hannes Humpe, Obs (KilledInAction (KIA)); Fw Johan n Hofmann, R/O (POW) and Uffz Otto Derfert, Flt Engr (KilledInAction (KIA)). Schmid and Hofmann were releasd from captivity in December 1949 (Kaiser RK book). 375 combat missions. Among his victories, 12 locomotives and 13 AC on the ground. Deceased 21 July, 2006 Bad Wörishofen (P. Bastin).

Fighter Operational Clasp in Gold
Medalla de la Campaña de España 1936-1939		Killed 6 November, 1941 when he crashed his F-4 into the Channel NW of Calais. After shooting down an RAAF Spitfire Vb AD430 of 452 Sq., piloted by Sgt Bernard Malcolm Geissmann, he was circling the point of impact at very low altitude, touched the water, tearing off a wing and sinking immediately. One of the most successful Channel pilots in 1941. He scored 45 victories in only 137 combat missions, all in the West. His first victory, a Morane at Frenois, 15 km north northeast of Montmedy, 14 May, 1940. His 2nd, a Lysander at Beauvais on 18 May, 1940. His 3rd, a Hurricane at Cambrai on 19 May, 1940. His 4th, a Hawk-75 at Peronne on 20 May, 1940. His 5th, a Spitfire southwest of Calais, 26 May, 1940. His 7th, a Bloch 150 at Connantre on 5 June, 1940. His 8th, a Blenheim 40 km NW of Le Harve on 28 July, 1940. His 9th, a Spitfire S of London on 20 September, 1940. His 10th, a Spitfire near Gravelines on 22 July, 1941. Nos.19, 20 & 21, two Hurricanes and a Spitfire N of Gravelines on 10 August, 1941. His 25th, a Blenheim near Gravelines on 26 August, 1941. His 30th, a Spitfire near Montreuil on 7 September, 1941. Schmid is claimed to be a veteran of Spain, though no trace of him is in Condor Legion lists. He is also said to have flown in the Battle of Britain. He and his crew, Radar Oper OFw Paul Rosenberger (born 16/10/1913 in Munich, CK) and Mech OFw Erich Kantwill (at least EK 2, Spanish Cross (see pic!, born 26/05/1915 in Ende, CK) planned their defection from Denmark carefully. On 9 May, 1943, with their AC loaded with radar equip, and after circling Peterhead Scotland, landed at RAF Station, Dyce-Aberdeen, Scotland. Surrender indications given to No 165 Sq. aircraft piloted by P/O Arthur Roscoe and Sgt Ben Scamen. Another source says he was in 11 Staffel. Alternate spelling: Schmitt & Schmidt (German sources spell name as Schmid and claim this is the spelling in his Flugbuch. This is also the spelling in British interrogation records after the defection. His first name is commonly - but mistakenly - given as Heinrich). Added: Another source suggests the ac code was "3E + HK" (does not match NF unit). Added: He, Rosenberger and Uffz K.Blauk, Flt Engr and Uffz K.Lang, Gnr, were attacked by a fighter, and limped home on one engine on 9 November, 1940. At least one unnamed was injured (D.DRury). Added: The Ju-88 is displayed at Duxford (CK)

Dive Bomber Operational Clasp w/Pendant		KilledInAction (KIA) 14 July, 1943 together with his R/O Uffz Walter Dicker in an attack on a forest 2 km east of Winovgradovka Russia, about 30 km northeast of Byelgorod, when his AC exploded in about 600 meters of altitude and crashed in flames. 700 missions in only two years. Alternate spelling: Schmidt.

WIA 11 January, 1944 during aerial combat at Nordhausen. One known victory, his 1st, a Hampden west of Texel Island on 12 February, 1942. His 2nd, a Wellington of Polish 301 Sq.,100 km west of Alkmaar on 22 July, 1942. His 3rd, a Mosquito 2 km west of Utrecht on 11 October, 1942. His 4th, a Boston at Noord Beveland on 6 December, 1942. His 5th, a P-51 60 km north of Walcheren on 22 January, 1943. WIA 24 January, 1943 when he crashed his Fw 190A-4 at Annapolder Holland after suffering engine damage during combat, an Uffz at the time. He suffered a broken leg and eye injuries (DeSwart & Wings to Victory). A 6th, a B-24D 100 km WNW of Thistedt on 16 November, 1943. His A-3, piloted by Uffz Alfred Auer,of 4/JG-1, crashed on 6 July, 1942, killing Auer.
