There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

probably at least Bomber Operational Clasp in Bronze		His Fw 200 was reported lost 24 July, 1941, sd by a Hudson W of Ireland, killing the entire crew. ("Fw 200 Losses" 1988 book per H.Breuer). He was credited with sinking two British freighters totaling 10,857 tons, 16 January, 1941. Added: Remaining crew (officially MIA): Lt Walter Gröner (or Groner), No.2 Pilot; Oblt Paul Schlafke (or Schlafko), No.3 Pilot; Ofw Henry Rasquin, R/O; Uffz Hans Zeitler, Flt Engr and Fw Walter Drost, Gnr. Hptm Verlohr is usually mentioned as KIA, however there is no record of a grave, considering the ac was lost at sea (D.Drury). Bomber Operational Clasp		MIA the night of 13/14 June, 1943 after being shot down east of Flamborough Head by an RAF Beaufighter of RAF No. 604 Sq., piloted by F/O D.B.Wills. Wills shells found their mark and there was a large explosion in the ACs forward compartment and debris catapulted in every direction. The Do 217 fell away to starboard in a mass of flames, crashing in the sea below. Remaining crew (all MIA): Uffz Heinz Orchel, Observer, Fw Gerhard Duwe, wireless operator and Uffz Heinz Oesterle, gunner. Joined the Liufwaffe in 1939. Additional data by Hans Hölscher in 2015.

Bomber Operational Clasp in Gold		A Radio Operator, POW 15 March, 1943; sd by a Beaufighter night fighter near North Thoresby during a raid on Grimsby. The entire crew bailed and became POWs. Remaining crew: Oblt Hartmut Holzapfel, Pilot; Ofw August Küpper, R/O and Fw Gerhard Dörr, Flt Engr.. Stein usually flew with the crew of Oblt Friedrich Wilhelm Dörflinger. 196 combat missions, 164 over England, 90 were night missions (Kaiser RK book). Deceased 21 February, 2003 Ottobrunn/München (P. Basti).

probably at least Destroyer Operational Clasp in Silver		POW 13 January, 1944; shot down by Flak 11 January, 1944 at Rybachiy Peninsula. The plane was recovered by the Russians, one year later, and taken to Subkowa. His first known victory, a Soviet Boston III on 20 September, 1943. Nos. 2 & 3, a P-40 SW of the Petsamo airfield, and an Il-2 13 km NE of Parkina on 25 November, 1943. Added: Serving as Hptm Schmidt's RO/Gnr in the Bf 110, was Uffz (later Fw) Gerhard Friedrich (F.Braun, EK1+2, Destroyer Op Clasp in Silver?). Added: He was shot down on 11/01/44 NW of Eina-Guba over the Fischer peninsula and force-landed. After almost 3 days of escape in a polar storm with and minus 20 degrees he was captured by a Soviet patrol and sent to Rybatschi .Deceased 21/08/99 (CK)

Destroyer Operational Clasp in Gold with pendant		WIA (injured) 14 March, 1943 landing accident in Wk# 5213 at Kirkenes Norway airfield after an operational flight. His R/O, Fw Gerhard Friedrich was also injured (Source: SIG Norway). Added: Fw Friedrich also flew as R/O with Hptm Hans Hermann Schmidt occasionally (F.Braun). A Stfkpt in 13/ZG-76 in the Summer of 1944, he rescued two crew members, Gross, the pilot, and Gerhard Sarodnik, R/O, when they were downed in their Bf 110. Kdr I/ZG-101 in June, 1944. Thought to be the last Commander of II/ZG-76. 300+ combat missions. One known victory, his 5th, a MiG-3 on 10 May, 1943 over the Notowki Bight. Magnus Report, 8 victories. Bowers/Lednicer, 8 victories. Residing at Gartenstr. 10c, 76744 Maximiliansau in 2005. Deceased 18 July, 2017 (C.König). Alternate spelling: Schlosstein (DK-G Awards List).

One known victory, a B-24 at Neusiedler See on 16 June, 1944. A 2nd, a B-24 at Märkische Bucholz on 21 June, 1944. A 3rd, a B-24 SW of Wien on 26 June, 1944. A 3rd, a B-24 at Quedinbürg-Stassfürt on 7 July, 1944. A 4th, a B-17 in the Münden area, NE of Kassel, on 16 August, 1944. A 5th & 6th, both Lancasters on 31 March, 1945. A 7th, a B-17 S of Bremen on 4 April, 1945. Nick-Name: "Timo Schenko".

The cause of the crash was icing. Remaining crew: Hptm Friedrich "Fritz" Strunz, of 4(H)/31, Obs (KIC) a 2nd unnamed KIC and a 3rd unnamed WIA. The two known deceased are buried in the German War Cem. at Baltisk (Baltjsk in Ger.), Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, among the unknowns (D.Drury).

His Observer on this flight was Lt Gerhard Quaas, Obs; Uffz Philipp Sigloch, R/O and Uffz Lothar Seiler, Gnr., all KIC. Wk# 4318 sd by AA fire over the Gulf of Finland, Quaas WIA. Wk# 4644 attacked by Soviet fighters, all WIA. Remaining crew: Uffz Friedrich Albrecht, Obs; Uffz Philipp Quaas, R/O and Uffz Josef Müller, Gnr.. 351 combat missions in Russia.

On 25 July, 1943, he was again wounded, when his Bf 110 was shot up and crashed 10km east of Nyhavn, Varanger Fjord (LOCS).

POW 11 July, 1940 following aerial combat over Portland England. He had been attacked by RAF fighters of Nos.238, 87 and 601, and made a successful force landing at Grange Heath, Lulworth, near Wareham, Dorset. He and R/O-Gnr, Gefr Helmut Scholz (POW/WIA), failed in their attempt to set the ac on fire. British soldiers fired at them and shot Kadlow in the foot. Thus stopped, it became the first Bf 110 captured intact in the Battle of Britain. Oblt Kadlow was slightly wounded in the foot, by Home Guard troops. He was released from captivity in November, 1946 (CK). Alternate spelling: Kadow (see more LOCS). One month earlier, on 8 June, 1940, he wandered into Swiss airspace, and was attacked by two Swiss Bf 109's piloted by Lt Friedrich Egli of Fl.Kp-15 & Ernst Mühlemann of Fl.Kp-21. The ac was able to cross the border back into Germany. His R/O-Gnr, Uffz Fritz Wunnicke (or Wunnike) was KIA, burial site unknown (D.Drury).

Remaining crew: Oblt Heinrich Theodor Wilhelm Schmickler, Obs; Fw Walter Georg Gustav Blume, R/O and Uffz Gerhard Stahr, Flt Engr. The VDK notes that Oblt Schmickler, not yet transferred to a VDK grave, is commemorated on a natural stone at Kirovograd Collective Cem. Fw Blume is believed buried at Kirovograd (D.Drury).

Foreign Pilot Badge		KIA 19 March, 1945, attacked by a British long range Night Fighter 8 km SW of Gelnhausen (Added: apparently W/O D Taylor of 157 Sqn, RAF, CK). Remaining crew (all KIA): Fw Max Rosenbaum, 2nd R/O and Uffz Edwin Hübner, Gnr. His longtime 1st R/O, Ofw Fritz Dietrich survived with serious injuries. 165 missions and 11 Night victories. One, a Lancaster of RAF No. 166 Sq., piloted by F/O Kemp, downed the night of 14/15 February, 1945, SW of Chemitz, Bowers/Lednicer, 11 victories. WIA the night of 10/11 August, 1942; sd by fighters while bombing Voronezh, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. Remaining crew: Ofw Friedrich "Fritz" Dietrich (MIA); Ofw Konrad Rieder, R/O (KIA) and Uffz Gerhard Botho Karl Wendt, Flt Engr (KIA). Rieder, the recipient of the Sp Cross, DK-G and EK 1 & 2, is commemorated in the War Cem. at Kursk-Besedino, Russia. Wendt is buried in the same cemetery, Blk 10, Row 25, Gr 1289 (D.Drury). Added: Crew Ofw Tatenhorst was known to have served exclusively on the crew of Oblt Engelbert Heiner between 2/42 to 8/43, performing re-supply and transport missions to Stalingrad and the Kuban Bridgehead prior to Heiner joining the Night Fighters (CKönig)

Destroyer Operational Clasp		Forced to make an emergency landing on 11 March, 1942 near a Russian forest, 40 km west of Murmansk, after being attacked by Russian fighters, Gross suffered an injured right foot. Both he and Sarodnik were rescued by their Staffelkapitan, Oblt Karl Friedrich Schlossstein in a Fieseler "Storch". Jager Blatt 2/1998 article about this Bf 110 being recovered at Murmansk and presented to the Berlin Technik Museum in 1998. The Radio Operator/Gunner Uffz Gerhard Sarodnik present at the presentation. Gross survived the war and was thought to live in the Graz area, but could not be reached for the reunion.

A double victory on 26 July, 1944; both B-17s, one near Vienna, the other, unconfirmed, NE of Graz. His 7th official, a B-17 near Gerring on 28 July, 1944, just prior to his death from the collision 2 km from Gehren, near Erfurt, with Ofhr Schenk. Five unconfirmed victories.
