There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

His remains have not been transferred to a military cemetery, but a grave is understood to exist at Sagorskoye, Russia. He is commemorated in the German War Cem at Chernyakhovsk, Russia (D.Drury).

Fighter Operational Clasp
Shot down by B-17 return fire on 20 October, 1943 at Boekel, east of Veghel Holland. He was able to bail out safely. His first victory, a B-17 5 km southwest of Goch, by Eerde NL, 20 October, 1943. A 2nd, a B-17 (e.V.) in the Münster area on 22 February, 1944. Another 2nd victory (No. per OKL), a B-17 15 km SW of Ansbach on 25 February, 1944. His 3rd, a B-17 in the Hildeshein area on 23 March, 1944. A 4th, a B-24 (n.b.) on 8 April, 1944, no location, believed unconfirmed. A 5th, his 4th per OKL and Perry Claims, a P-47 SW of Mortain on 28 July, 1944 (another source refers to this victory as his 4th.) Jager Blatt article.

Both engines damaged, the He 11 spiralled down into the sea at Druridge Bay. The aircraft remained afloat for about 15 minutes, thus all five crew members were able to get into their dingy, benefiting from their training earlier in the month at Kristainsand Norway. Remaining crew: Oblt Rudolf Roch, Observer (POW), Gefr Erwin Kulick, wireless operator (POW), Gefr Alwin Machalett, mechanic (POW) and Flgr Ernst Henrichsen, rear gunner (POW). Henrichsen, Kulick and Machalett were wounded in the encounter, Machalett most serious with a severe left leg wound.

On 7 October, 1944, was able to crash land his P-51 damaged Komet, and escape from the wreckage, before it was destroyed by the strafing P-51. Added: He is believed sd by 1/Lt Willard Erfkamp & Capt Elmer Taylor, a shared victory, of 364FG/385FS (C.König).

POW 30 August, 1940 after colliding with a Bf 109E, Werk# 6072, flown by Oblt Hans Roth of 2/JG-54, over London/ Oxted Surrey. Both bailed safely from 20,000 feet. One known victory, his 1st, a Polish P-23, light bomber, at Klomnice on 3 September, 1939. On 14 May, 1940, he was shot down by F/O E.J. "Cobber" Kain of RAF No. 73 Sq.. He crashed into a field north of Sedan. His 2nd known victory, his 5th per the OKL Report, a Spitfire in the Dover-Canterbury area on 28 August, 1940. His 6th (per OKL), a Hurricane on 30 August, 1940, no location.

None of the crew are named in a military cemetery, but their graves are understood to exist near Prokhladny, Russia (D.Drury).
14 Zechlin, ErnstOblt4/KGzbV-1Ju 52/3m Werk # 6513 "1Z + K" (lost 5/10/40)Transport Operational ClaspHis Ju 52 crashed at Vrachelen Holland (Den Hout-Oosterhout) on 10 May, 1940, cause and pilot/crew disposition unknown (DeSwart). The crew of four, and seven unnamed passengers were taken prisoner when they "landed" E of Den Hout, N of Vraggelen, cause not reported. Remaining crew: Uffz Breitscheidel, Fw Martin Lücke and Fw Rudolf Brathering (DVL Loss List). This may be Hptm Ernst Zechlin, later in night fighters.

Buried Bourdon France, Block 9/20/753 (Geensen). He scored the new III/JG-1 Gruppes 1st victory on 11 June, 1943. His 21st victory while in JG-1, was a B-17 on 11 June, 1943. Scored 7 SB bomber victories on 12 August, 1941 while on a test flight! His Kdr., Anton Mader, in disbelief, flew off and found the wrecks and credited the lone pilot. Briefly captured by the Russians on 24 September, 1941 after colliding with wingman Lt Herwig Zuzic, he was parachuted into Romania, to spy for the Russians, however, he remained loyal to Germany, but would never be assigned to the East. Approx 500 missions in the Ju 87, sinking 1 destroyer and 1 transport ship near Dunkirk. Added: another sozrce states a total of probably > 600 missions. WIA in the Balkan campaign. His 100. combat mission on 01/08/41. Awarded the Ritterkreuz after 270 combat mission and promoted to Lt on 01/08/42. Transferred to a training unit SG 102 after 500 combat missions. WIA on 06/09/43 during belly-landing near Rutenau due to technical problems (CK).

As SG-3 was preparing to flee the Russian advance on their airfield at Litthausdorf, Weidinger was sitting in his Fw 190 waiting to takeoff, when he was ordered to give his AC to an officer. His friend, Uffz Anton Schreiner offered to take him in the fuselage of his Fw 190, but Weidinger refused, and marched out on foot with the rest of the ground personnel. He has been missing ever since. Jager Blatt 5 & 6/2004.

Uffz Weiss was directly killed by Flak. Falke: "Flying over such a bridge at 1000 meters was akin to an attempted suicide.""After recovering from his serious head injuries, Dietrich Falke returned to KG 30 and resumed operational flying.
