There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Killed on 13 April, 1944 while on an intercept mission against B-17s and P-51s, crashing in a forest area near Kirrlach. Source: Klaus Deschner & Bf 109 Loss List. Another source suggests he crashed after combat with a P-47 of 354FG. Buried Bruchsal. Added: VBK (Volksbund.de) states his burial in the Military Cem. in Geestemünde, Row 142, place of death, Bruchsal. From his logbook, this was an 'Alarmstart' (scramble) on his 12th combat mission, his second of the day. His first combat mission was against B-24s w/o fighter contact on 30 January, 1944, lasting 2 hrs & 9 mins. His 1st victory, a P-51 on 27 July, 1943 in Italy. This may have been unconfirmed since his 1st official was a B-17 over southern Italy on 4 August, 1943. His 4th per OKL, a P-47 in the Spessart-St Wendel area on 18 November, 1944.

MIA 3 March, 1943 near Pozzalo, failing to return from a search for another comrade and crew (Lt Berge) lost the night before near Sicily. He is presumed to have been shot down by Spitfires as a transmission to Air Traffic Control reported Spitfires swarming in the area. Remaining crew: Uffz Klaus Unterecker, Observer; Uffz Georg Sareiter, R/O and Uffz Hermann Wessels, Gunner. Ironically, Vogl carried a four-leaf clover in his Soldbuch, which he failed to carry on this last fateful mission. 102 Missions. He entered service on 29 November, 1938 as a Hitler Youth in a Flak Battery. Entered flight training 21 July, 1940, certified in the Ju 52, He 111, Ju 88 and also Night Fighter Training, before being assigned to IV/KG-54. His 3rd, a B-24 5 km south of Fossiata, Italy on 16 August, 1943. His 4th, a B-26 at Velletri on 23 May, 1944. His 5th, a B-17 SW of Lüneburg on 24 August, 1944. His 6th & 7th, a P-51 and a P-47 on 23 February, 1945. His 8th victory, a P-47 on 23 March, 1945. Added: SD 19 March, 1945 during combat with US fighters. He bailed safely, the ac crashed at Blankenloch N of Karlsruhe (Klaus Deschner).

KIC 3 March, 1944, colliding with Gefr Rudolf Pancherz and crashing near Bremen (Wiegels). Todt was uninjured on 13 November, 1943 when he crashed his A-5 after aerial combat, no location reported. One known victory, his 1st, a B-17 on 29 November, 1943.

POW 16 June, 1944, shot down in "Yellow 21" by Spitfires of RCAF No. 443 Squadron over Normandy beachhead. He bailed safely but suffered a shoulder injury, and was quickly captured by Canadian soldiers. Shot down two days earlier on 14 June, 1944, in "Yellow 13" by a P-38 of 55FG over Paris. His coolant line was hit and he made a belly landing just outside Paris after eluding his pursuer. He became the favorite wingman of Klaus Mietusch. Earlier flew wingman for Ofw Karl Laub in May, 1944, and Wolfgang Polster in June, 1944, before Mietusch. His two victories; a P-38 of 55FG in the Pontoise area, N of Paris, on 14 June, 1944 and a B-24 (HSS) of 392BG SW of Chartres on 15 June, 1944.

KIC 27 April, 1943 after taking off from Chateaudun when a bomb onboard exploded. Klaus buried at Champigny St Andre, Fr., Blk 16, Row 8, Gr 447. Remaining crew (all presumed Killed): Oblt Dietrich Melin, Co-pilot/Observer; Uffz Paul Zimmermann, R/O; Uffz Willi Zell and Ogefr Gerhard Willmann Mechanics and Flg Werner Hoffmann and Flg Albert Haak, Gunners. While in KGzvB 200, he and 17 other Fw 200s flew out of Stalingrad after von Paulus capitulated, despite orders for no further flights out. He had found two of his injured school mates and decided to disobey orders. He was put up for court martial, but the charge was dropped, as Germany was in need of heroes. Instead, he received one week special furlough. Only 9 of the 18 aircraft survived the flight out. (Flieger Blatt 1/2009)

Remaining crew (survived): Wolfgang Tonn, Co-P; Ofw Leo Ludorf, Mech; Karl Kiessling, 1st R/O; Ogefr Klaus Kappes, 2nd R/O and Gefr August Kaufmann, Gnr (Flyvrak Norway). This ac was salvaged from the waters off Tronheim, near the Vaernes airfield, in March 1999. The crew survived the ditching. The wreck was returned to Hamburg for restoration. A 4th, another Spitfire at Dunkirk on 2 June, 1940. Nos. 5 & 6, a Spitfire W of Canterbury and a Handley S of Ramsgate, on 8 August, 1940. A 7th, a Spitfire at Folkestone on 12 August, 1940. On 18 August, 1940, he shot down 4 Hurricanes at Canterbury (Nos.7,8,9 & 10 - including Franciszek Koslowski of 501 Sqd RAF ) and made a safe escape. No.15, a Spitfire at London on 7 September, 1940. A. Gallands JV 44 wingman. His 1st victory, he rammed a P-38 over Riem AP on 3 April, 1945. His 2nd victory, a B-26 in the Lanberg area on 16 April, 1945. His 3rd, a B-17 in the Munich area, involving a collision, on 17 April, 1945. On 20 April, 1945, he attacked a B-26 (victory # 4) formation and accidentally struck the tail of one of the Marauders. He bailed out as both AC fell to the ground. All victories in JV-44. Nickname "Rammer". Added: Re: the 17 April collision, Schallmoser's ac was hit by the lead bombers gunners, knocking out both engines and shattering the canopy. He lost control and collided with B-17G Ser# 43-38085, 305BS, "Towering Titan", which crashed at Babisnau. The incident was witness by Galland & Lt Klaus Neumann. Schallmoser bailed safely ("Me 262 Stormbird" book). Added: Schallmoser bailed on 20/04/45 after hitting the prop arc of the B-26 "44-68109" piloted by flight leader Lt James M Hansen, being followed by fire from the bomber gunners and landed on his mothers house garden (!) Hansen was able to fly his aircraft back to base. So Schallmoser only had 3 victories (CK)

KIFA 30 January, 1944, after downing a B-17 in "Black 1", in the Elm Mountains near Brunswick, when returning from a mission in bad weather, he touched the ground. Known to have flown the Bf 109F-2 in 7/JG-53 in April, 1941 (Prien). Shot down w/o wounds on 24 October, 1943 by Spitfires of RAF No. 332 Sq. (Norwegian) near the Pas de Calais. His 1st victory was a P-24 in the Poczalkowo Poland area on 4 September, 1939. A 2nd Polish, a P-24 in the Lubien area on 9 September, 1939. His 10th victory, a Spitfire on 24 October, 1941 while in I/JG-53, no location given. One known Soviet victory, his 15th overall, a P-39 on 1 July, 1942. His 20th, an Il-2 on 8 July, 1942. A LaGG-3 on 1 August, 1942. His 30th, an Er-2 on 8 August, 1942, along with his 29th, an Il-2. A Pe-2 on 12 December, 1942. 10 victories in the West, at least 1 four engine bomber, a Blenheim over Malta on 15 February, 1942. Two MiG-1s and an R-Zet on 6 August, 1942. An Il-2 on 19 August, 1942. Bowers/Lednicer, 49 victories.

On 4 April, 1945 he crashed his K-4 near Kirrlach after suffering engine damage during an intercept mission, his disposition not known (Klaus Deschner).

Palliardi survived a crash of his Ju 88, Werk # 4058, at Schellingwoude Holland on 18 September, 1940, cause and crew disposition unknown. He was a Lt. at the time. (DeSwart). Added: Lt Palliardi became disorientated over London due to dense fog and instrument failures, which led to a fuel shortage. As the fog lifted over the Channel, he attempted to return to his base, but fell short, three survived w/o injury. Added: the fourth, his Mech/Gnr, Gefr P.Schleiss, was killed and buried Yssel CX-11-263 (SGLO). In a second incident, in "B3 + DB", he was forced to ditch in the vicinity of Iraklion due to an engine failure. The crew were rescued by a German reconnaissance craft after two days in their life jackets (Source: His Son, Klaus Palliardi). A third incident, "B3 + MH" was damaged making an emergency landing in the vicinity of Tunis due to losing a propeller (Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries).
