There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Added: shot down by Soviet flak while flying a low attack of Soviet advancement roads near Landsberg at the Warthe river (CKönig). One known victory, his 1st, a P-47 at Diepholz on 8 December, 1944. His 2nd, a Lancaster at Bottrop-Recklinghausen on 12 December, 1944. Added: On 13/09/44 he flew on a mission with Fhj-Uffz Wilfried Schindler (KIA), Uffz Wolfram Horbach (KIA) Fw Johann Luthardt (KIA), Gefr Willi Stuber (KIA), Fhj-Uffz Herbert Zimmermann (KIA), Staffelführer was Oblt Ludwig Zwittnig (bailed out). Zipse managed to bail out uninjured though he was attacked on his chute by US fighters. He landed at the train station at Mecklar. According to a letter from the parents of Herbert Zimmermann Zipse was arrested by the Wehrmacht at first because he left the aircraft. He wrote twice to the parents after the air combat (CKönig).

Flew on his last mission with Fhj-Uffz Wilfried Schindler (KIA), Fw Johann Luthardt (KIA), Gefr Willi Stuber (KIA), Uffz Wolfram Horbach (KIA), Fhr Hans Zipse (bailed out), Staffelführer was Oblt Ludwig Zwittnig (bailed out). A letter from 1955 written by his parents states that he died due to the recklessness of his Staffelführer Zwittnig who urged his pilot to attack nevertheless - 60 US fighters scattered the Staffel and pursued them. The letter further mentioned that he tried to escape with Zipse and Schindler South while the other 4 planes flew North - all pursued by US fighters. His plane caught fire as a result of the enemy attack and went from 10.000m to 1.000m when the flames were extinguished. He tried to make an emergency landing behind a wooded mountain but 2 Salvos were shot him again, when a big part of the wing broke off and his 109 exploded in approx. 1000m height. The parents were first told he was MIA. His father made investigations are found the wooden cross and were told that Herberts remains were already buried 14 days earlier. Without his investigations they wouldnt have known the fate and burial site of their son (CKönig)

One known victory, his 1st, a Polish P-23, light bomber, at Klomnice on 3 September, 1939. On 14 May, 1940, he was shot down by F/O E.J. "Cobber" Kain of RAF No. 73 Sq.. He crashed into a field north of Sedan. His 2nd known victory, his 5th per the OKL Report, a Spitfire in the Dover-Canterbury area on 28 August, 1940. His 6th (per OKL), a Hurricane on 30 August, 1940, no location.

A "shared" Halifax during an attack on Düsseldorf on 23 April, 1944. The Halifax, Werk # MZ518 "LK-C" crashed at Eppinghoven, 2 km W of Dinslaken.

His combat took place during the Ardennes Offensive and Bodenplatte, up to his last mission on 16 April, 1945, when he was shot down with wounds and suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns before bailing out. During this combat, he was credited with a P-51(w.b.) in the Küstrin area. The Perry Claims indicate his rank as "Uffz".

His 4th, a Spitfire NE of Portsmouth on 26 August, 1940. His 5th, a Blenheim 35 km N of Le Harve on 12 September, 1940. Victories may be as high as 10.

OFw Zeidler AR-1-15, R/O Uffz Leonard Vogel (born 24/12/21 in Horneck, CK) AR-1-14 and Gnr OGefr Adolf Schmelzer (born 16/09/21 in Olpe, CK) AR-1-13 (SGLO). One known victory, a Lancaster at Chimay on 31 March, 1944. A Halifax at Rouvroy on 11 April, 1944.


33 Zehbe, RobertOblt1913/12/04Kiel1./KG 76Do 17 Z-2 "F1 + FH" Werknr. 2361 (lost15/09/40)Battle of Britain pilot WIA 15 September, 1940 over England and buried there. Wartime Grave outside of London, seen on Military Channel. Added: During a raid on London, he had already been damaged and on fire as a result of earlier combat. Hurricane pilot, Sgt Raymond Holmes, of No.504 Sq., rammed the Dornier when his guns jammed. The Dornier tail section separated, and the bomber crashed at Victoria Railway Station, Central London, near Buckingham Palace. Both Zehbe and Holmes bailed, but Zehbe died of his wounds later (You Tube News video). Added: He had been set onfire during combat with 4 to 6 Spitfires over London during a noontime raid. He crashed at Oval cricket grounds about a half mile from Buckingham Palace. This source suggests he was beaten by civilians, but a witness claims he had been wounded. He died of his wounds on 16 September, 1940, and was buried in the Brookwood Cem., Woking, Surrey (Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries, spelled as Zehbe. His grave marker is clearly Zehbe). MORE: Zehbe buried Brookwood, 15/A/2. Remaining crew: Uffz Hans Goschenhofer (geb 14/04/1912 in Nördlingen (CK), Obs (KilledInAction (KIA)); Ogefr Ludwig Armbruster, R/O (POW); Uffz Leo Hammermeister, Flt Engr (WIA & POW) and Uffz Gustav Hubel, Gnr (born 17/07/18 in Georgsmarienhütte (CK)=KilledInAction (KIA)). Unable to locate Volkel airfield, he selected highway transport to strafe, but was hit by a British Tempests of RNZAF No 486 Sq., piloted by Sq Ldr "Spike" Umbers(KilledInAction (KIA) 2/14/45). He shot down one Spitfire before he was hit by the New Zealander and forced to bail out with injuries, and be captured 24 miles east of Eindhoven, at Rouwkuilenweg, Venray. Peter was released from captivity in 1948 and settled in Wales. He died suddenly on 2 June, 1997, at age 74, while on a pilgrimage to St Petersburg Russia.

Uninjured 8 July, 1941 when he went MIA briefly with unnamed crew after aerial combat at Volyniec in his E-3, pilot returned (Bf 110 Loss List). He was injured when his Me 262 V5 crashed at Lechfeld due to engine trouble. He bailed with wounds from his Me 262A-1a over Northheim after combat with American fighters in the Dessau vicinity (LOCS & C.Sundin). Two other experienced pilots from JG-7 were sd this same day; Oblt Kelp and Lt Amos. One known victory, a B-17 (HSS) S of Berlin on 24 March, 1945. Wörner was one of three Messerschmidt Experimental Test pilots (with Oblt Ernst Tesch and Uffz Hans Flachs).

When Wolff realized he was too low to bail, with the starboard engine disabled and the port engine and the cockpit on fire, he made a force landing on the main road alongside Westlands Plantation, at Ottringham, near Hull. Remaining crew: Fw Hugo Keller, Observer (POW), Uffz Wilhelm Rautenberg, rear gunner (KilledInAction (KIA)) and Uffz Werner Hans Kruczinski, wireless operator (KilledInAction (KIA)). Kruczinski and Rautenberg were wounded during the attacks. Wolff, Keller and Kruczinski managed to clear the fiery wreck. Rautenberg had fallen clear of the wreckage before it came to rest, badly injured. He and Kruczinski died of their wounds at the Hull Infirmary on 21 and 22 August, respectively, and were buried in the German Military Cemetery at Cannock Chase, Staffordshire.

A LaGG-3 and an Il-2 on 30 December, 1942. An Il-2 on 14 January, 1943. A LaGG-5 on 11 February, 1943. Two Il-2s and a LaGG-5 on 5 March, 1943. A LaGG-3 on 18 June, 1943. A Yak-7, a Pe-2 and an Il-2 on 13 July, 1943. Three Yak-7s and an Il-2 on 2 August, 1943. Three La-5s and two Yak-9s on 6 November, 1943. Two La-5s and an Il-2 on 15 January, 1944. Three Yak-9s on 19 March, 1944. He scored the 500th victory for 6 Staffel/JG-54. His 135th, JG-54s 7000th victory, a Yak-1 on 23 March, 1944. Killed on 13 April, 1944 while on an intercept mission against B-17s and P-51s, crashing in a forest area near Kirrlach. Source: Klaus Deschner & Bf 109 Loss List. Another source suggests he crashed after combat with a P-47 of 354FG. Buried Bruchsal. Added: VBK (Volksbund.de) states his burial in the Military Cem. in Geestemünde, Row 142, place of death, Bruchsal. From his logbook, this was an 'Alarmstart' (scramble) on his 12th combat mission, his second of the day. His first combat mission was against B-24s w/o fighter contact on 30 January, 1944, lasting 2 hrs & 9 mins. WIA 12 August, 1941 when he was hit by Blenheim return fire over the Scheldt Estuary, and force landed at Antwerp-Deurne airfield (added: he couldnt lower the gear due to a shoulder wound,CK). One known victory, his 1st, a Lysander at Dunkirk, 31 May, 1940. His 2nd, a Morane 406 at Montdidier, 6 June, 1940. His 3rd, a Morane at Forte de Villers, 9 June, 1940. A "damaged" Spitfire SE of London on 15 September, 1940. His 1st victories in the Soviet Union, a triple victory, two I-15s and a "Schulflug" on 22 June, 1941. Another triple Soviet victory, three Martin B-26s on 25 June, 1941. His 13th & 14th, both Spitfires; one 15 km northwest of Ijzendijke, the 14th near Groede, both on 12 August, 1941. His 13th & 14th victories were in JG-26. Magnus.

Shot down with wounds 9 May, 1940; sd on route to Narvik and were attacked by Skuas of No. 803 Sq. (HMS Ark Royal) in Bogen area. Badly damaged, they made a force landing at Tepkilen. The crew attempted to get to Sweden, but were captured on 15 May, 1940. Remaining crew (POW): Hptm Joachim Fehling, Ofw Wilhelm Kuppers, Uffz Herbert Peukert and Uffz Hans Brettschneider. In addition, there were 12 passengers of 3 Komp, GJR-138, all unhurt but the pilot (Flyvrak Norway).
