There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

One known victory, his 1st, a P-47 at Roye-Noyon on 20 June, 1944. His 2nd, a B-17 (HSS) on 12 September, 1944, no location given. His 3rd, a P-51 in the Schwalmstadt area on 13 September, 1944. A 4th, a B-17 in the Marnfeld area on 2 November, 1944. He was shot down this same day in a G-14 over Halle, bailing safely. His 5th, same day, another B-17 at Eisleben. A 6th, a LaGG-3 on 3 March, 1945. Added: WIA on 02/11/44 and hospitalized in Halle (CKönig). Alternate spelling: Zwittning. Added: according to a letter of parents of Herbert Zimmermann Zwittnig was killed 3 days before wars end (05/05/45) east of Berlin (CKönig). His wife remarried after the war.

KilledInAction (KIA) 8 June, 1944 in aerial combat with a P-51, in Werk# 170736 "Black 3", over Le Cambaux, France. Bailed successfully, but reportedly killed by P-51 pilot while hanging in his chute. Prior, 7/5/41 35% damage to an unidentified F-2 over Druja and on 11/11/41, 35% damage to Wk# 12943 over Sablino. In neither incident was there a pilot disposition. On 27 July, 1943 he was wounded by B-25 return fire in his G-6 "Yel 7" over the Schiphol Holland airfield. Bailed successfully. The G-6 crashed at Noorden, SW of Mijdrecht Holland (DeSwart). 15 victories in the West. His 1st, a Blenheim 25 km NE of De Kooi on 10 November, 1940. One bomber (another source says 10 bombers). His 1st known Soviet victory, an I-153 on 22 June, 1941. An I-18 on 11 September, 1941. An Il-2 on 30 September, 1941. An I-26 on 5 November, 1941. An I-18 on 1 December, 1941. An Il-2 and an I-26 on 9 February, 1942. A Pe-2 on 4 April, 1942. A MiG-3 on 30 July, 1942. Two Soviet P-40s on 13 August, 1942. Two P-40s on 3 Sept, 1942. KilledInAction (KIA) 2 February, 1945 due to enemy fire, location not reported. Added: shot down by Soviet flak while flying a low attack of Soviet advancement roads near Landsberg at the Warthe river (CKönig). One known victory, his 1st, a P-47 at Diepholz on 8 December, 1944. His 2nd, a Lancaster at Bottrop-Recklinghausen on 12 December, 1944. Added: On 13/09/44 he flew on a mission with Fhj-Uffz Wilfried Schindler (KIA), Uffz Wolfram Horbach (KIA) Fw Johann Luthardt (KIA), Gefr Willi Stuber (KIA), Fhj-Uffz Herbert Zimmermann (KIA), Staffelführer was Oblt Ludwig Zwittnig (bailed out). Zipse managed to bail out uninjured though he was attacked on his chute by US fighters. He landed at the train station at Mecklar. According to a letter from the parents of Herbert Zimmermann Zipse was arrested by the Wehrmacht at first because he left the aircraft. He wrote twice to the parents after the air combat (CKönig).

Added: He was KilledInAction (KIA), and now buried at Bad Hersfeld, Germany, Blk F, Gr 7 (D.Drury). Flew on his last mission with Fhj-Uffz Wilfried Schindler (KIA), Fw Johann Luthardt (KIA), Gefr Willi Stuber (KIA), Uffz Wolfram Horbach (KIA), Fhr Hans Zipse (bailed out), Staffelführer was Oblt Ludwig Zwittnig (bailed out). A letter from 1955 written by his parents states that he died due to the recklessness of his Staffelführer Zwittnig who urged his pilot to attack nevertheless - 60 US fighters scattered the Staffel and pursued them. The letter further mentioned that he tried to escape with Zipse and Schindler South while the other 4 planes flew North - all pursued by US fighters. His plane caught fire as a result of the enemy attack and went from 10.000m to 1.000m when the flames were extinguished. He tried to make an emergency landing behind a wooded mountain but 2 Salvos were shot him again, when a big part of the wing broke off and his 109 exploded in approx. 1000m height. The parents were first told he was MIA. His father made investigations are found the wooden cross and were told that Herberts remains were already buried 14 days earlier. Without his investigations they wouldnt have known the fate and burial site of their son (CKönig)

POW 5 October, 1940 after aerial combat with a Hurricane, crashing at Sheerlands Farm, Pluckley. He bailed safely without injury (Prien). One known victory, his 1st, a Hawk-75A at Brie Compte Robert, 3 June, 1940. His 2nd, a Spitfire over the Isle of Wight on 24 August, 1940. His 3rd, a Hurricane S of Portland on 25 August, 1940. His 4th, a Spitfire NE of Portsmouth on 26 August, 1940. His 5th, a Blenheim 35 km N of Le Harve on 12 September, 1940. Victories may be as high as 10.

7 Zehbe, RobertOblt1913/12/04Kiel1./KG 76Do 17 Z-2 "F1 + FH" Werknr. 2361 (lost15/09/40)Battle of Britain pilot WIA 15 September, 1940 over England and buried there. Wartime Grave outside of London, seen on Military Channel. Added: During a raid on London, he had already been damaged and on fire as a result of earlier combat. Hurricane pilot, Sgt Raymond Holmes, of No.504 Sq., rammed the Dornier when his guns jammed. The Dornier tail section separated, and the bomber crashed at Victoria Railway Station, Central London, near Buckingham Palace. Both Zehbe and Holmes bailed, but Zehbe died of his wounds later (You Tube News video). Added: He had been set onfire during combat with 4 to 6 Spitfires over London during a noontime raid. He crashed at Oval cricket grounds about a half mile from Buckingham Palace. This source suggests he was beaten by civilians, but a witness claims he had been wounded. He died of his wounds on 16 September, 1940, and was buried in the Brookwood Cem., Woking, Surrey (Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries, spelled as Zehbe. His grave marker is clearly Zehbe). MORE: Zehbe buried Brookwood, 15/A/2. Remaining crew: Uffz Hans Goschenhofer (geb 14/04/1912 in Nördlingen (CK), Obs (KilledInAction (KIA)); Ogefr Ludwig Armbruster, R/O (POW); Uffz Leo Hammermeister, Flt Engr (WIA & POW) and Uffz Gustav Hubel, Gnr (born 17/07/18 in Georgsmarienhütte (CK)=KilledInAction (KIA)). The two addition deceased crew buried CC; Goschenhofer 5/14/333 and Hubel 1/4/132 (D.Drury).

WIA 28 November, 1942 during aerial combat at Bizerta, His first known victory, a Soviet MiG-1 30 km SE of Mosalsk on 27 July, 1942. One known western victory, a Beaufort 35 km west of Bizerta on 17 November, 1942. Magnus, 7 victories.

No crew detail. He was initially buried in Amsterdam, Nieuwe Ooster Bergraafplaats, 21 August, 1943. Earlier, he was uninjured 12/13 June, 1943 when he was shot down by a Beaufighter of RAF No. 604 Sq., piloted by S/L J.N. Howard-Williams. His Ju 88 crashed into the North Sea by Petten, off the Dutch coast (DeSwart & Wiki Luft). Remaining crew: Oblt Ludwig Blankenhahn (WIA), Obs; Fw Rolf Lampmann, Gnr (WIA) and Ofw W. Tonne, R/O (Safe) (Wiki Luft data & D.Drury). Added: 3(F)/122's 2000th mission took place on 15 June, 1943 with Zabiensky and Tonne. Blankenhahn and Lampmann missed this milestone due to their injuries on the night of 12/13 June, 1943. Ofw Zabiensky is now buried at Ysselsteyn, CT/12/300 after the 20 August, 1943 incident (D.Drury).

While circling to land, for some unknown reason he crashed, also killing his R/O-Gunner, Fw Ernst Kurz. One known victory, a Wellington on 1 August, 1942. Added: Fw Kurz is also buried at Lommel, Block 21, Grave 155 (D.Drury).

One known victory, a B-17 20 km SW of Schweinfurt on 14 October, 1943. Added: His two remaining victories are erroneously recorded to a Lt Würtz. Therefore, he is credited with a Lancaster DS817 of RAF No.514 Sq. over Berndroth, near Frankfurt, shared with Hptm Wilhelm Herget. The 2nd, another Lancaster LL630 of RCAF No.426 Sq. over Güls (or Kühl), near Koblenz, both on 20 December, 1943. He is buried in Barth Deutscher Soldatenfriedhof, Blk 3, Row 3, Gr 1 (D.Drury). Alternate spelling: Wurtz & Würtz.

(lost)KilledInAction (KIA) 15 May, 1940 while attacking two British destroyers, HMS Valentine and HMS Whitley on the river Westerschelde, off Terneuzen. The Valentine took a hit in the engine room and grounded in the river. Valentine return fire brought down the Ju 88, which ditched in the river, 5 km west, in the vicinity of Sea Arm Braakman, near Vlissingen. Wengert buried Ysselsteyn, Block BB/7/165. Remaining crew: Ogefr Josef Wunder (born 01/05/19 in Morschreuth, (KilledInAction (KIA)), Obs, Buried Ysselsteyn, Block BA/4/99; Uffz Martin Stampfer, geb 4/10/1918, (EK 2, born on 10/04/18 in Eichstätt (CK) KilledInAction (KIA)), R/O, Buried Ysselsteyn, Block BC/3/58. and Flg Adolf Trinkl (EK 2, born 30/09/13 in Stuttgart-Canstatt (WIA), Gunner. This AC was returned to Germany in exchange for a Swedish Ju 86 that made an emergency landing in northern Germany on 19 May, 1940. Three German pilots were permitted to return with the AC; Oblt Alfred Kiefer, Oblt von Rabeneau and Oblt Gerhard Grosse. Brown, learned the identity of the chivilrous pilot in 1990, and they have been friends ever since. Stigler lived in Vancouver, B.C. and Brown in Miami. Article of the event and a Stigler autographed photo on file. 487 missions. 17 victories in the Desert. 11 bombers, 2 with the Me 262. Shot down 17 times, bailing 6 times. Serious wounds from B-17 return fire, shattering his windshield. 30 unconfirmed victories. Nominated for the RK. One known victory, his 1st, a P-40 SW of Ft. Acroma North Africa on 31 May, 1942. He made a force landing in friendly territoy at Dieppe, where two wounded were attended to. Operation Jubilee was the Canadian landing attempt at Dieppe. His Observer, Hptm Gottfried Berndt was also uninjured. The two wounded crew were: Uffz Richard Scheuer, R/O and Uffz Ludwig Rohlfs, Gunner. Survived the war.
