There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

5 victories in Spain, 4 victories in the East, his 1st Soviet victories, an I-17 & an I-15 on 22 June, 1941. His first victory, a Morane near Büdingen, 30 September, 1939. His 2nd, a Spitfire SW of Diederhofen on 7 April, 1940. His 3rd, a Curtis SE of Metz 10 May, 1940. His 4th, a Wellington at Sedan on 14 may, 1940. His 5th, a Bloch 151 south of Charleville, 15 May, 1940. His 7th, a Spitfire S of Paris on 3 June, 1940. His 8th, a Hawk-75 at Proult on 9 June, 1940. His 9th, a Spitfire over England on 16 August, 1940. His 10th, a Spitfire at Portsmouth on 26 August, 1940. Nos.14 & 15, both Hurricanes at London on 25 October, 1940. By the time he entered service in Africa, he already had 21 victories. On 23 November, 1941, during a morning combat with Hurricanes of RAF Nos. 229 & 238, he claimed one victory. Later that same day, he was shot down in Wk# 8469 by a P-40, thought to be piloted by Australian Ace, Clive Caldwell of RAF No. 250 Sqd, broke both legs bailing out, and was taken prisoner. He died of an embolism in an English hospital on 3 December, 1941, after his legs were amputated. Added: On 1 November 1940 he shot down Royal Air Force ace S/L Archie McKellar flying a No. 605 Squadron Hurricane Mk.I. (CKönig)

The cause mentioned was "probably pilot error". Although he was not positively identified as the pilot by the author, I have made that selection. Remaining crew (All KIC): Uffz Heinz Meschede (born 5/25/1919 Gierath), Uffz Otto Weber (born 5/3/1919 Grieben/Ostpreussen), Uffz Heinrich Beinkämpen (born 10/17/1918 Rüstringen) and Uffz Wilhelm Marcus Flt Engr (born 10/26/1918 Duisburg). Pilot and 3 crew members rescued from a rubber dinghy at 0800hrs on 6 June 1940 - 1,5 days later - by German U-boat U-47 of famous Kapitänleutnant Prien which was on long distance patrol. 1940-06-04, 2./KüFlGr 906, Do 18 D-3, 790, 8L+LK After returning all back to units. WIA 8 August, 1940 during aerial combat with a fighter, force landing at Montdidier (Prien). Injured in a "False Start" (?) at the Uman airfield on 28 August, 1941. His first known victory, a Fokker C.X. south of Wageningen, 12 May, 1940. His 2nd, a Morane 406 at Le Forte Milon, 9 June, 1940. During the Battle of Britain on 8 August, 1940, he was shot down in his 109 over the English Channel and was rescued by Air-Sea Rescue. He was replaced by Lippert. He was known to have served on the staff of General Galland. Magnus Report. Deceased 1975.
