There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

WIA with unnamed crew 30 September, 1943 during aerial combat SE of Thyregod (Ju 88 Loss List). Injured in a crash (date unknown) in Wk# 0271 during a calibration flight when the left engine broke down and he lost power. Unable to continue flight, he made an emergency landing in a potato field near Timring Denmark. Remaining crew (WIC): Gefr Eric Mainz, R/O and Uffz Hermann Macding, Gunner. KilledInAction (KIA) 24 February, 1944 crashing at Ettischleben, east of Arnstadt/Thüringen, after aerial combat. Remaining crew (KilledInAction (KIA)): Uffz Heinz Bankowski, R/O and Uffz Helmut Grubendorf, Mechanic. Jager Blatt 2/2004. On 30 September, 1943, Nikolas was shot down in Wk# 750354 while attacking Lancaster "P" of RAF No. 207 Sq., piloted by S/Ldr Balme. The return fire from the Lanc set the Ju 88s right engine on fire and the entire crew bailed with injuries, the AC crashing in Thyregodlund, near Thyregard Denmark. Remaining crew (WIA): Uffz Heinz Bankowski, R/O and Uffz Willi Hanrat, Gunner (Source: Air War over Denmark). Alternate spelling: Nicolas (Air War over Denmark).

Shot down with wounds 27 May, 1944 in "Yellow 7" over Nonnenweiher/Lahr. On 21 July, 1943, his Werk# 16106 was reported 20% damaged on takeoff at Schiphol Holland airfield, pilot safe. One known victory, as a Fw, a B-24 S of Wittingen on 19 May, 1944.
