There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Test pilot and pioneer in the development of helicopters. Achgelis turned down the offer of Göring to take the position of Generalluftzeugmeister after the death of Ernst Udet in November 1941. He worked as a test pilot at an aircraft factory in Graudenz until the end of World War II. In 1975, he received the légion d'honneur from France for his achievements in aviation. Deceased 18/05/91 in Hude.

The AC was displayed at Croydon, England. He was repatriated in 1943 and joined the Me 262 Program.

Added by Stefan Pietrzak Youngs: Sqd Ldr Edward Wolfe's Combat Report: 'I dived at full throttle slightly in front and below the enemy aircraft and came up on his starboard forward quarter where my gunner, Sgt Ashcroft, opened fire at less than 20yds range. Strikes were observed and the E/A turned sharply towards us. I climbed over him, dived underneath and took up the same position as before. A second burst was fired after which the enemy’s starboard engine and cockpit were seen to be on fire, and he turned on all his navigation lights. At the same time he turned towards me again and I repeated my former manoeuvre, the gunner gave him a third burst. Twice again he took the same evasive action and I repeated my manoeuvre with the gunner giving him a forth and fifth burst. After the fourth burst there were two blinding flashes in his cockpit. After the fifth burst I left the attack as we were nearing cloud tops, and through a rift in the cloud layer watched the E/A crash to the ground where it blew up.' His first flight was on 22/04/40, his 100th Feindflug/ 150 Frontflug on 24/05/43. He flew missions with the following pilots: Fw Karl-Heinz Herbst and later Gerd Hoffmann. His experienced crew from 1942-44 was due to the exceptional flying skills of the pilot Gerd Hoffmann and the gunners they survived many attacks by Allied air forces . He was the last man of the flying personnel starting with the 3. Staffel at the beginning of the war (loss rate was 1200%). Nominated for the Knights Cross. His work at FA, as engineer and pilot, consisted of helicopter development, and in March 1945, he had undertaken rescue work for a Bf 109 pilot. After the war he worked with the Allies, and on 6 September, 1945, was the first pilot to fly a helicopter across the English Channel in Fa 223 V-14. Deceased 23 October, 2014 (D.Drury).

Observer Operational Clasp in Gold		More than 100 combat missions. Crew from 1942-44: Mech/Gunr OFw Roman Gastager (DKiG), Obsv Oblt Roland Körber (born in Berlin, survived the war, deceased 1996), Radop Uffz Franz Günter (born in Sudetenland, died shortly after the war). According to Gastager he made loopings with the Ju-52 which nearly cost him his license! He brought home the crew savely with only one engine running several times. Gastager mentions that once a knights cross holder fighter pilot wanted to do target practises with the Staffel and him. Hoffmann outmanouvred him and put his plane behind the fighter pilot which landed immediately and told him that he could have shot him down. Picture Source (Moebius)

His one victory, a Hurricane on 8 June, 1940, no location.

Voigt was buried in Schneeberg/Neustädtel. Shot down w/o wounds 11 January, 1944 in "Black 8" at Schalkhaar, 3 km north of Holten Holland, over central Holland, by B-17 return fire. Bailed successfully. His first orientation flight was with Gerd Wiegand on 5 October, 1943. Believed to have one "unconfirmed" victory, a Spitfire at Dixmuide, 23 October, 1943. His one confirmed victory, a B-17 of 384BG E of St. Omer on 1 December, 1943. Alternate spelling: Voight. There may be another Heinz Voigt, however it may be spelled Voight (Butler Pilot list shows two Heinz Voigt).

Bomber Operational Clasp in Gold with star pendant		KilledInAction (KIA) 25 September, 1944 in his G-14 near Moers/Rhineland when he was shot down in flames in aerial combat with RCAF Spitfires. Shot down with wounds during aerial combat with B-24s on 20 January, 1944. In April 1944, with JG-300, he shot down four AC in one night. The RK was awarded for his success as a bomber pilot against England, Malta and North Africa. One known victory, a Lancaster 30 km NNW of Stuttgart on 20 February, 1944. Another, a B-17 25 km N of Quackenbrück on 6 March, 1944. A "4 mot" at Leipzig on 24 March, 1944. Three Lancasters in the Düsseldorf area on 23 April, 1944. A 7th & 8th, a P-51 SE of Greisfwald and a B-24 at Insel Rügen on 20 June, 1944. A 9th, a Lancaster at Arnhem on 21 September, 1944. A 10th, same day, a P-38 at Arnhem, just days before his death. Over 300 combat missions, 5 Night victories.

Iro Ilk Staffelkapitän of 1./LG 1 during 1943 and bomber ace at the controls of his Ju 88. Both Ilk and his close friend in LG 1 Gerd Stamp were awarded the Knight's Cross with I./LG 1 for audacious attacks on British shipping in the Med, before going on to fly single engine night fighters with the wilde Sau. Ilk was shot down and killed by Spitfires as Gruppenkommandeur III./JG 300 on 25 September 1944. Post-war Stamp achieved high rank in NATO and married Ilk's widow.		ilkx

Added: He force landed his T-2 at Stavanger-Sola airfield after being shot up by RAF No.220 Sq. Hudson return fire (D.Drury). One known victory, his 1st, a Blenheim, L8746 at St Aubin sur Scie, south of Dieppe, on 11 June, 1940. his 3rd, as reported by OKL, a Hurricane in the London/Tunbridge Wells area on 25 October, 1940. Another, his 5th per OKL, a Blenheim IV 150 km north of Herdla Norway on 27 December, 1941. His fist known Soviet victory, a P-39 on 5 March, 1943. A P-40 on 27 March, 1943. A DB-3F on 23 May, 1943. Another western victory, a P-38 shot down in Bulgaria on 10 January, 1944. A B-17 by Mühldoef (Bayern) on 22 February, 1944. Magnus, victories may be 20 or higher. Alternate spelling: Senoren. His middle name may be Kurt.

Opposed the 6 March, 1944 Raid on Berlin, the raid R. Kracker was shot down during. Very experienced pilot with 100+ missions. 10 bombers. On 5 March, 1942, he is reported to have downed a PRU Spitfire "AA-810. His 3rd victory, a B-17 on 21 May, 1943 over Wilhelmshaven. His 2nd victim, a B-17, came on 17 April, 1943, and another, unconfirmed on 14 May, 1943. A double victory, his 5th & 6th, both B-24s NW of Helgoland on 4 October, 1943. His 10th, a P-47 on 22 December, 1943. His 15th, a P-47 in the Qackenbrück area on 6 March, 1944. Shortly after he saved the life of H. Knoke, on 6 March, 1944, he was shot down near Quakenbrück by a P-47 of 78FG, piloted by Lt Walter Tonkin. Badly wounded in the left forearm, he bailed successfully, and later returned to action. His 16th victory, an La-5 in the Küstrin area on 15 February, 1945. His 17th, a Yak-9 in the Küstrin area on 21 March, 1945. His 20th, a Pe-2 on 16 April, 1945. His 21st, a Yak-9 on 18 April, 1945. His 22nd, a Yak-9 on 20 April, 1945. His 23rd, a Yak-9 on 24 April, 1945. His 24th, and last victory, a Yak-9 on 25 April, 1945. Flugbuch (8/40 to 4/45). See note re: Wk # 3520 on "Johnen" record. Victories 1 and 2 came in 2/JG-1, both Spitfires on 14 May, 1943. On 2 September, 1943, he had 38 combat sorties. He had 25 victories in 106 missions. One of his victims was Joe Icard of the American 62FS, 56FG, a P-47 on 8 March. 1944. He was wounded in the left hand, in Blue 6", this same engagement. Although Oblt Wolfgang Neu was Kdr of 4/JG-26, he flew wing for Wiegand, the highest scorer in 4 Staffel at the time. He opposed the 6 March, 1944 raid (Ralphs) and downed a P-47, however he was downed/injured and out of combat for 3 months. One known bomber victory, a B-17 of 379BG west of Eupen on 30 July, 1943. A Ventura on 3 September, 1943. A Spitfire 5 km W of Dunkirk on 5 September, 1943. Two P-47s of 353FG credited 12/30/43. His 12th, a Spitfire at the Somme Mündung on 2 January, 1944. His 14th & 15th, a Spitfire and a B-26 near Gravelines, France on 21 January, 1944. His 20th, a P-38 S of Courtrai on 4 March, 1944. His combat ended 11 June, 1944 after aerial combat with P-38s of 55FG, he bailed out, uninjured, but shattered his thigh on landing. Bowers/Lednicer, 32 victories. Deceased: 23/05/93 (CK)
