There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

On the return flight from an Intruder Mission over England, Alt spotted a dinghy in the water below and circled while the R/O sent out a distress signal to Air Sea Rescue. To the horror of the He 111 H-5 "5J + KS" Werknr 3883 , 8/KG-4 (A.Rosseels) crew in the dingy, the wingtip of the Ju 88 hit the water, sinking immediately, and taking the crew with it. The entire crew perished. Remaining crew (KIC): Uffz Hans Georg Suckow (geb 09/07/1920, Gumbinnen), R/O and Uffz Erwin Willi Korn (geb 11/10/1920, Bitigheim), Gunner. Suckow & Korn are remembered on the Laboe Naval Memorial (D.Drury). Added: The He 111 crew were rescued except for Uffz Karl Brückner, Flt Engr (D.Drury).

The three deceased are buried at Ysselsteyn, Block AA, Row 1: Lt Arnold Gr 20; Nowak Gr 21 and Hain Gr 22 (D.Drury). Added (src nimh.nl;: On the night of September 9 to 10, 1940, 11 He111 from II./KG 4, based at Eindoven airfield took part in a bombing raid on London. Arnold returned prematurely due to a technical defect. He most likely unloaded his bombs shortly before the deployed (emergency) landing, thinking he was flying above Notabwurfplatz Oirschot, but in reality he was above Eindhoven airport. The bombs fell in the SW corner of the airport at Liegeplatz 3. The pine forest caught fire and the bombs piled up here exploded. As a result, 8 Heinkel bombers from II/KG4 were lost in the sea of flames and 2 were severely damaged. Leutnant and 2 of his crew were killed in the crash landing when their plane crashed into a passing freight train near Best. (CK)

Night Fighter Operational Clasp		KilledInAction (KIA) 7 December, 1944 NW of Münster-Handorf by an RAF Long Range Night Fighter flown by Flt Lt Hedgecoe. Another source suggests the G-4 Werk # as 740078. Augenstein and his R/O, Uffz Günther Steins were killed, and the gunner, Uffz Kurt Schmidt, managed to bale out successfully. WIA 16 June, 1944 during aerial combat at Roubaix Be., with Uffz's Schmidt and Steins, also this incident. One known victory, a Wellington 1 km southeast of Ahlhorn on 1 August, 1942. Five known victories were bombers, including two Lancasters by Zwolle on 23 October, 1943. Another, a Halifax at Emmerich on 15 February, 1944. A Halifax 4 km ESE of Maastricht on 28 April, 1944. Added: The only VDK burial match is for Ofw (promoted?) Steins, War Cem. Münster-Waldfriedhof Lauheide in Field G, Grave 3 (D.Drury).

Hauptmann Heinz Baader (March 25, 1916 - February 18, 1966) was a pilot of aufklärer (scout) who was born and raised in Munich (later he also died there). He was awarded the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on April 26, 1945 as Hauptmann in Nahaufklärungsgruppe 5 (led by Major Hermann Schmidt) for the extraordinary effort he displayed at Cirava (Kurland), although I did not get information about what his business was like. One type of aircraft he had piloted was Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 / U3. Baader was promoted to Oberfeldwebel on January 25, 1943, Leutnant on April 16, 1944, and Hauptmann on April 26, 1945 (together with his gift of the Ritterkreuz). Other medals and awards he received: Flugzeugführerabzeichen; Eisernes Kreuz II.Klasse and I.Klasse; Dienstauszeichnung der Wehrmacht III.Klasse; Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42 (1942); Luftwaffe Ehrenpokale für Besondere Leistungen im Luftkrieg (January 25, 1943); Frontflugspange für Aufklärer in Gold; and the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold (April 16, 1944)

Buried Stendal Friedhof, Gr 101 (A. Rosseels). One known victory, his 1st, a Spitfire at Cherbourg on 10 July, 1941. His 2nd, a Blenheim at Cherbourg on 17 July, 1941. His 3rd, a Spitfire N of Cape de la Hague on 6 August, 1941. Nos 4 & 5, both Spitfires N of Cape de la Hague on 30 September, 1941. Another, his 6th, a B-17 "Lucy Belle" of 303BG 100 km northwest of Terschelling, flown by 1/Lt Lloyd Driffin on 26 February, 1943. Another, his 7th, was a B-17 # 42-3115 of 95BG flown by Lt J.E. Mc Kinley, on 14 May, 1943. The B-17 crashed on North Beveland Island, near Katz village. All the crew perished. His 8th, a B-17 1 km SW of Metternich on 12 August, 1943. His 10th, a B-17 at Dollart, SW of Emden on 11 December, 1943. His 11th, a B-17 S of Delmenhorst on 6 March, 1944. His 13th, a B-17 north of Braunschweig on 11 April, 1944 (Perry Claims). His 15th, a B-17 NE of Berlin on 24 May, 1944. Known to have flown Fw 190A-7 Wk# 643948 "Black 2" (4/44) in 5/JG-1 also. Another A-7, Werk # 643949 "White 2" in 4/JG-1
