  • * More than 5,000,000 came from the British Isles
  • * 1,440,500 hailed from India
  • * 136,000 came from South Africa
  • * 629,000 came from Canada
  • * 413,000 came from Australia
  • * 128,500 came from New Zealand
  • * 10,000 came from Caribbean
  • * 124,000 came from other colonies
