REASON FOR LOSS:

Pilot bailed out of damaged aircraft over the North Sea, some 30 miles off the coast of Norway east of the Shetland Islands. Pilot seen in the water at 10:30 hrs but presumed to have drowned.

F/O. Tadeusz Kazimierz Lubicz-Lisowski. Commemorated on the Polish Memorial at Northolt. Lwow, Ukraine. Born 1 January 1920. Next of kin details not available as yet.

Researched for relatives of the pilot with thanks for further information to the Grangemouth Air Cadets and the Grangemouth Spitfire Memorial Trust who provided me with so much information and assistance during my visit, Robert Gretzyngier, Wojtek Matusiak, Waldemar Wójcik and Józef Zieliński - 'Ku Czci Połeglyçh Lotnikow 1939-1945'.
