There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

Died 18 Jan., 1943 from TB contracted in a Lille military hospital while recovering from injuries suffered in a ground collision ar Wevelghem in Werk # 660 on 11 October, 1942 with wingman Karl Käferle. WIFA 21 August, 1941 when his A-1 had engine failure and he crashed at Overheluestraat. He was pulled from the wreckage by two Belgian farmers, and hospitalized at Courtrai. One known victory, a Spitfire over the Channel, north of Calais on 26 July, 1942. One of his victories was a "shared" victory, a Kokker XXI over Amsterdam on 10 May, 1940. (Shared with: Hubertus v. Holtey, Walter Schneider & Hans Wemhöner) His 1st, a Spitfire I at Dordrecht 13 May, 1940. His 2nd, a Morane 406 at Douai, 18 May, 1940. His 3rd, an Avro Anson over the English Channel on 29 May, 1940. His 4th, a Spitfire at Sheerness on 24 August, 1940. His 5th, a Spitfire at London on 15 September, 1940. His 6th, a Hurricane at Tonbridge on 30 September, 1940. His 10th, a Spitfire NW of Dunkirk on 18 July, 1941. Another known victory, B-17 # 41-24510 "Snoozy II" of the 306BG, 367BS on 9 October, 1942. Alternate spelling: Mayer.

Seriously injured 23 January, 1945 when his Ar 234 veered on takeoff and crashed from low altitude. WIA with another crew, Gnr Flg Kurt Teege, 15 September, 1942 when he was rammed by a Soviet fighter near the Zaritzmundung (Ju 88 Loss List). 375 combat missions. Deceased 7 October, 1981, Lengern, Werne-Lippe (P. Bastin). Added: RE: the 9/15/42 incident; the Zaritzmundung seems to translate to the mouth of the River Tsaritsa, Volgograd Oblast, Russia, a tributary of the Volga. The Soviet fighter ramming the Ju 88 was of 721 IAP, piloted by Jr Lt Stepan Fedorovich Kyrchanov. Remaining crew (Ju 88): Fw Johannes Reinhardt, Obs (MIA); Ofw Rudolf Netwitsch (or Nentwich), R/O (WIA, returned) and Flg Kurt Tooge (or Teege), Gnr (MIA) (D.Drury).

Remaining crew: Uffz Karl Kraus, Obs (POW); Ofw Paul Neumann, R/O (POW) and Ofw Otto Beyer, Flt Engr (KIA). All but Ofw Beyer were rescued in their dinghy; Beyer is believed to have bailed, and could not be found in the water. He is listed by the VDK as being "in a sea grave", and commemorated on the Kiel-Laboe Naval Memorial (D.Drury).
1312 Miller, K.Fw3(F)/122 (5/41 Schiphol) Ju 88A-5 Werk # 0445 "F6 + LL" (lost 5/11/41) Observer Operational Clasp MIA the night of 10/11 May, 1941 when his Ju 88 crashed on Tholen Is. (Netherlands), 3km NW of St Maartensdijk Holland after being heavily damaged by a British Night Fighter. The crew escaped the burning AC, but may have drowned in the North Sea or other Scheld outfalls. Remaining crew: Lt Werner Griese, Obs (MIA), Uffz Siegmund Oberdorf (MIA) and Uffz Karl Schlicht (MIA). (DeSwart, LOCS & Wings to Victory). Added: The Ju 88 Loss List places the ac loss at the mouth of the River Tay.

POW 29 April, 1942 after being shot down during a mission over York by two Beaufighters, unit unknown, piloted by F/O Furse and P/O Downes. The Dornier crashed in a field at Coneysthorpe, near Malton. This crew flew 84 combat missions. Remaining crew: Uffz Otto Hacker, Observer (POW), Uffz Fritz Kälber, wireless operator (KIA) and Fw Oskar Fussnecker, gunner (POW). Uffz Kälber survived the crash but was severely burned and did not survive the night. Added: Another source suggests the attacker was one Beaufighter of No 406 (RCAF), piloted by F/O Denis Chetwynd Furse, and P/O John Haddon Downes, Nav.. The deceased Do 217 crewman killed, Uffz Kälber buried CC 3/14/446 (D.Drury).

Main on 12 September, 1944. Another double victory, both Lancasters on 4 December, 1944; one at Wörth-Lautersbad, the other SW of Karlsrühe. His 28th, an "e/a" on 14 January, 1945. His last known victories, his 29th & 30th, were both "e/a" on 21 February, 1945. He flew the He 177 in KG-50. Nicknamed "Nasen Müller". While serving in Russia, he once achieved 50 victories within one month. His 26th victory, a Soviet I-61 on 3 June, 1942. His 30th, a LaGG-3 3 km E of the Sossue-Obaja airfield on 3 July, 1942. A triple, one of many, on 12 August, 1942: an Il-2 and two MiG-3s. Two MiG-1s and three Il-2s on 30 August, 1942. Forced to bail from Fw 190A-2 Wk# 2156 during aerial combat on 17 January, 1943, after a mid-air collision with an A-3, Wk# 443 of Hptm Rudolf Busch (killed). Added: this collision took place near Velikiye-Luki, Kalinin Oblast, Russia (D.Drury). So unnerved by the collision, he did not fly operations again. 800+ combat missions. His first victory, a Polish P-23 8 km southwest of Chalupy, 3 September, 1939. His 2nd, a Hurricane northeast of Cambrai, 19 May, 1940. Nos.3 & 4, both Hurricanes, one S of Brentwood, the other NE of Tunbridge Wells on 31 August, 1940. His 5th, a Spitfire at Cranbrook on 7 September, 1940. His 6th, a Blenheim S of Folkestone on 10 October, 1940. His 7th & 8th, a Spitfire and a Hurricane S of Tunbridge Wells on 17 October, 1940. His 9th, a Spitfire 25 km NW of Calais on 6 May, 1941. 69 victories in Russia. His first known Soviet victories, four SB-2s on 22 June, 1944. A Pe-2 on 2 August, 1942. An Il-2 on 16 December, 1942. Not sure when he was in JG-5. His data sheet simply says he was in a Jafu Leader in East Prussia in March, 1944, having been JG-51s longest serving Kommodore. Bowers/Lednicer, 78 victories. He was employed by Mercedes-Benz from 1950 to 1981. Deceased 22 July, 1982 Greenwich CT., USA (P. Bastin).
